Fans love him but he commands big money. He rarely gets past four innings.

Maybe be time to say goodbye.

The current version of Sabathia is not going to command big money.

Dont think it'd be smart for the Yankees to bring him back

As a Red Sox fan I really hope so.

Huh? Isn't he cheap this past year? Probably does like Andy did and a series of 1 year 8-10 million deals

God I hope not. He’s outstayed his welcome by 3 years already

I'd be down for a cheap deal.

What other pitchers are available this off-season though?

Patrick Corbin (29) and Dallas Keuchel (31) will headline since most assume Kershaw back to the Dodgers

After that
Charlie Morton (35)
JA Happ (36)
CC Sabathia (38)
Lance Lynn (32)
Trevor Cahill (31)
Derek Holland (32)
Nathan Eovaldi (29)
Matt Harvey (30)

Essentially it makes more sense to bring back CC at something similar to the 1 year 10 million he got this year. I mean he gave the Yankees a 3.65 ERA over 153 innings.

JA Happ at his age may be willing to grab something around 10-15 million a year but a multi-year deal (2-3 years probably)

Yankees could bring back Lynn as well as the #5 then shift him to the bullpen if Montgomery comes back healthy.

CC back? No.
Corbin (29) yes.
Eovaldi risky.
One trade for another.

Braves or Phil's I would think, both looking for another vet and have playoff aspirations.

I'd be cool with

Didn't Eovaldi pitch for the Yanks a few years ago?

I'm guessing yes, but with a much reduced 1 year contract.

I'd laugh so hard if they get Corbin because we'll the money he will command and back end of that deal will be comical and Eovaldi will resign with the Sox as they lose Drew P.
