I always believed that Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez or Ken Griffey Jr. would break Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron's career home run records.

Will any baseball slugger break Bonds' record and hit 800+ HR's?

Acuna or Albies for sure.

Swanson falls short at around 750.

Pitching is better now than it was then so it's harder to get those huge single season HR numbers even without accounting for steroids.

When you account for steroids and greenies, players aren't playing as many games in a year or as many years in a career. The aging curve has significantly changed. I just don't see it happening.

He owns the real home run record. It may say Barry Bonds at the top of the list, but everyone in America knows he got there by juicing.

Bonds was a sure-fire HOFer before his steroid use, but we all know he never would have broken the single season record or the career record if not for PEDs.

No he doesn’t own the real HR record.

So you’re going to sit here and tell me that there are ZERO players in the HoF that used performance enhancing drugs?

And Hank Aaron probably popped amphetamines every day. Bonds owns the record.

Is Bonds a top 5 all time player? Yes

Is he also a product of his era? Yes.

Babe Ruth didn't have to compete against black players, mid century players took greenies, and late 20th century guys took steroids and HGH. It is what it is.

Speculation. There is actual proof that Bonds was popping.

Hell no. I would rank Ruth, Cobb, Rose, DiMaggio, and Mays over him and that's without even thinking about it.

Indeed. His jealousy of the attention McGwire got is what led to his PED use.

And the race card. Congrats on the loss of your credibility.

You realize Aaron took PEDs too right?

Aaron admittedly used PEDs, so there's that.
