re: Why would a team pay 300+ MILLION dollars for Aaron Judge?
Yet he needs the roof closed to hit one out

Pujols hit 700 home runs.

He obviously slowed down in the later years, but Judge will never sniff 700 hrs. He will likely get to 500 barring some major injury, but he will not reach 600.

Judge is a good baseball player, but will never be Pujols or Griffey, or Bonds, or Sosa.

my god youre dumb
context matters, read the title of the thread

YES Puljos 702 and is also headed to the HoF , but no one will argue the Angels benefited from the signing

thats what we talking about the wisdom on signing a player his ago to a 300 MILLION dollar long-term contract

Such a weird example. They will probably trade a prospect and Stanton and DH him soon (w/in 2 years) so they can keep him going. I think he gets big money, but "only" 7 or 6 years.

Look moron. You said Pujols 2.0.

Judge won’t sniff that type of production and within a few years the team will regret it. Angels didn’t regret Pujols.

I’m just impressed with Albert Haynesworth/Aaron Judge comparison. Didn’t expect that when I opened this thread.

Judge has a career .926 OPS in away games. Not just the park.

Especially in baseball. The MLB is the least likely of the 3 major sports that one player makes that much of a difference. I mean the Angels have 2 of the best if not the 2 best players in the MLB and they suck.

My brother in Christ, what the frick? He was a bang average player majority of his time in Anaheim. They paid him nearly $30m a year for how long and made the playoffs once?
