Why wasn't Tony Parker in at the end of the game?

I didn't get it in OT in game 6 and I don't get it tonight. Was there a strategic advantage that I missed?

Pop wanted to hit a 3 and brought his shooters in. They ran a terrible play though.

Yeah this is probably it.

Game 6 he wasn't in because Pop took Parker out for defense (Heat were just forcing Parker to switch onto LeBron on D. And it was deadly. So Spurs just started taking him out on D.) So when Pop didn't want to call a TO so the Heat could set their D, Parker just wasn't in the game for last play.

Game 7 may be same situation, but I don't really remember. Its either the Defense thing or the 3pter line up.

They had it on their end of the court. They were down by 4 and he had Neal, Manu, and Green. They wanted a 3. He brought Parker back in when Miami shot free throws and needed to get the ball back up the court quickly.

Parker had a good year shooting the 3 by his standards, but i supposed POP thought Lebron would draw him and he wouldnt be able to shoot over him

This was a great series. The spurs were so good. It's tough watching Duncan's presser talking about how bad he feels for missing that layup. Damn I feel bad for him.

They're giving Spo credit for putting Bron on Parker.

Parker was also 3/12 from the field tonight. Wouldn't have been wise to have him take a 3

He had nearly the same stat line whenever he hit the step back 3 over LeBron in Game 6.

His shooting percentage in the game is less important than the fact that he's not a good three point shooter. He's actually pretty terrible unless he's spot up in the corner.

They asked Pop this in the presser, and Pop said "because that's what I decided to do". Reporter said, "Do you care to elaborate?" Pop said, "no".

So, that's that.

Pop gonna pop. It was weird if they were looking for 3 why they would run that terrible play where ginobili drove and tossed it to lebron.

spacing. no help on duncan because of the shooters. manu and duncan 2 man game. you have to like those odds if you're pop

james and bosh just made a disciplined, smart, and athletic play there.
