He's probably telling them that he is "recruiting" by being on TV.
Has he made any staff moves yet? I know he was supposed to keep the Coordinators but I haven't seen him do anything but sound bites so far

Media attention can still help you recruit in today's age. Build up attention to himself on TV, then go recruit. Not a bad option.

It's almost reminiscent of a situation in which a dad coaches a team for fun. I don't think they are going to have true, plausible aspirations of actually competing for Pac 12 titles.

I like he pft theory that his agent and ASU were both playing chicken. his agent wanted a raise from espn and asu wanted to put a name out there to get a handline then it just went on for a day to long.

I feel like you could make ASU a strong football program. Awesome city with some of the hottest chicks in the country on campus? I think you could convince a couple 5 star croots to spend a couple years there
