Besides Ok State, You have a crap ton of 3-1 teams. We need a couple more weeks to sort this mess out.

Historically people don't put none power 5 teams in the top 5 unless they were in a Top Tier Bowl the previous year.
BYU, SMU, Cinn, ect need a couple more weeks as well.
So to answer your question, UNC is there because they don't know who else to put #5.
