Why is Ohio State such a "solid" 2 seed?

Sure they're a good team, but they have lost 4 in a row. I don't understand the pollsters and analysts fixation with. They appear to be a 4 seed.

What am I missing?

I cannot for the life of me figure out how their resume is better than kansas' for example.

i dont think either team is exceptional or anything, just using that as a comparison.

it appears to be kenpom or bust these days.

They're in the B1G and the media loves to dickride some B1G basketball(and football too). Big 12 will walk away from the tourney as the best conference.

To be fair, those top 4 teams in the B1G are really good. But give me the 7 teams in the Big 12 that are really good also.

gotta keep those p5 power schools on top

is that retard from tOSU still on the panel? He alone cost Midmajors bids so 7-9 p5 schools could get in.

He'd get on there and explain the process and everyone who watched felt 100x dumber.

The losses are to 2, 4, and 5 in the country, as well as Michigan State.

I don’t know if this is still true but they had the most tier 1 wins in the country through most of the season.

Lost of good wins

No one in their right mind would dispute the Big 10 as a whole is excellent. But Ohio State is not one of the top 8 teams in America. IMO they are a 4 seed.

What I don’t get is how Villanova is still a 3 seed. They’re not a deep team and they’ve lost their two best guards in their last two games. Their game with Providence was a cripple fight. They’re finished IMO.

I think eye test wise 100% of people agree with you. But they have wins over Illinois and Iowa, along with 2 over Rutgers and a win over Wisconsin.

I think this is a sweet 16 team who can beat anyone, but also could lose to a 13-14 seed. Just don't have the size. Their margin of error to win is very small for a top 10 type team

When you said this they had lost 4 in a row, but they had already beaten Iowa and Illinois, along with Wisky.

Now they have beaten Purdue and Michigan in back to back days, and probably secured the #2 seed. I guess they COULD sneak in as a #1 if they beat Michigan and Illinois back to back. They would beat a projected #4 seed and 2 #1 seeds back to back to back days, which kind of shows a team who can go deep in March.

I still think this team could flame out any day though

They need to get Young back. I've watched them maybe 6 times this year, but he looks like a gamechanger.
