Why has Antonio Brown been easily dominating the game despite being only 5’10”

We often hear announcers, analysts, casual fans tout receivers because they are 6’3, 6’4” aka “he had great size”. Then you look at AB only 5’10” making it look easy each Sunday.

Sure, he doesn’t have the fade route in his arsenal like Julio or AJ, but I think him being short allows him to run better routes as shorter receivers tend to change directions easier than tall receivers. He also has an uncanny ability to predict where the ball will be when it’s in the air. And AB has best eye-hand coordination in the league allowing him to catch the ball routinely at different angles and at any velocity.

Speed, precision route running, great hands, and focus/attention to detail.

In no particular order.

Its crazy to me that some people think Julio is the better WR.

Julio is likely the clear 2nd best, but I feel like Brown has a strong case for top 10 ever. His numbers and consistency is incredible. His style of play will make him a reliable target well into his 30s.

Because some dudes can just ball regardless of their size. Every sport every position this is true.

Watching Brown now is what it must have been like to watch Jerry Rice

Let us not forget how dominate of a player Steve Smith was and he isn't very tall for an NFL WR

Rice wasn’t as fast as Brown but was smooth as silk. With great hands and probably best route runner.

Wrong. You might mean a jump ball he will not always win. But I saw a beautiful fade caught for TD by him Sunday night

Rice had longevity

At age 40:

92 receptions for 1211 and 7 TDs. That is dumb.

WRs are built for quickness now in today NFL offenses. 6’3” 230 is no longer the prototype.

Tell that to Julio Jones or AJ Green or Calivn Johnson.
