Rockets were .500 in reg season matchups during the two 3-peats. They had answers for Chicago especially when Hakeem was in his prime.
Rockets were 5-1 against the Bulls during the Bulls' first 3-peat.

Why would you count the 3 years after the Rockets titles as evidence of anything considering teams break up after their title runs.

And also, the Bulls for their second 3-peat were much different from what they were during their first and the two years in between.

The Bulls added Dennis Rodman in 1995-96... the year after the Rockets won back to back titles. Dennis Rodman was a huge addition that took them to the next level.

Because they missed 27 straight three point shots when it mattered most.

Yes, i was a big Bulls fan back then and thus aware of Houston's success against them in the reg season which was the only clear evidence available. That and they beat the Knicks in the Finals who also gave Chicago fits.

The link i checked was unclear about which season, so i assume by 1990 it meant the '90-'91 season but was really '89-'90. Not sure why i added the second 3-peat which is when the Supersonics and Jazz took over the West.

Let's look just in the state of Texas. The '11, '13, '16, and '17 spurs were better than the '18 Rockets.

The '06 Mavs were better too.

There is a reason the last 23 consecutive NBA Finals games played in the Lone Star State have been hosted by either San Antonio or dallas.

The worst part is that this won't end for a decade... Every team that wins a title for the next 10 years we will have to hear "those Rocket teams would have destroyed them". Get over it.

Honest answer? Their playstyle is not aesthetically pleasing.

Petty answer? frick the Rockets.

I’d take the 2002-03 or the 2003-04 Lake Show over the ‘18 Rox.

Also the 2007-08 Lake Show.
