Instead of one year of college I think you can go to G League and then get drafted

Lack of exposure I assume?

Gatorade is sponsoring the league. I would think they would pay the best players just to get them in the league.

How many current G League players can you name right now? College Basketball has way better fan support, pussy, big man on campus, pussy, school pays for almost everything, and pussy.

I too have heard that tales, first hand, of game winning shots and the mountains of pussy that await you

How would that work if the best players went to the G-league? There would need to be another draft implemented to make it fair.

Seems easier to just allow them to enter the NBA right off the bat, then whatever team they're drafted to can send the to their G-league affiliate if necessary.

The cities you play in sucks, the travel sucks, and college has an abundance of women.

No, players can’t currently do that. It has been brought up but the G league isn’t ready for that yet. Some G league teams don’t even have strength coaches. They don’t have nutritionists. Etc. If that’s something nba wanted to do they would need to invest heavily in the g league Infrastructure.

Unless a shoe company was ready to throw big money at you, its probably better to go to college.

They have a draft after the NBA rosters are finalized. Late October or early November.

These high profiled players aren't playing for $26k.

The NBA has just recently started to put emphasis on the GLeague.

All teams in the NBA will have an affiliate and they are putting money into it finally. It will take awhile but at some point I think it could be a viable alternative to going to Europe.

YUP, but you never know all the G-League needs is one marquee, transcendent player out of HS like a Zion Williamson to join and consequently the game could be changed for them and G-League could be trending positively in exposure and appeal for top-flight HS players which then could translate to big-time TV contract offers and the whole 9 therefore massive G League exposure and some MONEY PLAYA

One and dones are putting off making money for like 9 months. This narrative that they’re living in perpetual poverty and being so disadvantaged by going to free college for a semester is absurd.

They also live like kings, at least at major programs. They have everything done for them, they’re gods on campus. They get a devoted, established fan base for the rest of their careers. They get to transition from high school to the pros with an intermediate level, instead of going from high school to the grind of a G League team. You get to play more often national tv and in arenas that often are more sold out than NBA arenas.

I’m sure some guys will be tempted to go the G league route, just like some guys go to Europe. But I think it’s very short term thinking.

Mitchell Robinson decided not to go to college this season. He is training for the draft. No thoughts on the G-League.

Besides being big man on campus and swimming in pussy, which option is more attractive for a top player:

-Play in the G-league and make $26k

-Play a year in college and possibly be a top 10 pick in the draft and get $7-15 million guaranteed over your first 2 NBA seasons?

Maybe college basketball isn’t the root of all evil. Kids seem to choose it over the alternatives a great majority of the time. It’s almost like it’s a two way street and the ball players get something out of college basketball.

It's going to take one highly recruited player to go to the G-league for the idea to take off. It's not going to happen with borderline NBA prospects.
