You guys were all played by an attention whore. I’ve said from day 1 no way they are letting go of the league MVP.

He wanted to say his peace and is now involved in personnel decisions

He will retire in GB, and I’d put good money on it. They are still a top 3-5 NFL team

You’ve said from day 1, for the last 5 seasons, that Oklahoma was the best team in the country

Your credibility is shot and you’re a jackass

Or did people also think that maybe....just maybe, Rodgers was using leverage to get what he wanted?

But Rodgers wasn’t using the necessary leverage it would take to make this happen.

He might’ve been traded if he would’ve started the whole process from day 1 of the off season. But waiting to carpet bomb the packers on draft day essentially made trading Rodgers an impossible task. So all that really was gained was some extra new cycles of spotlight to be on Rodgers and try to paint the packers as the bad guys for their shortcomings the last few seasons.

If this was his tactic, he is a terrible negotiator the season is almost here.

By all he reports he played hard ball and the Packers caved and will likely greet him the freedom to choose his 2022 team.

They still control his rights for 2022 so it’s not like he’s gonna be able to go on a FA tour to pick his place

Rodgers didn't do anything on draft day. The back and forth had been going on for a while and Scheffter just waited until draft day to release his story because he knew it would get more exposure then.

quote:

There has since been speculation that Rodgers’ camp intentionally leaked the information right before the start of the 2021 NFL Draft in an attempt to force a trade, but apparently that was not the case.

During an appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show” Thursday, Schefter revealed that he simply chose to drop the bombshell story hours before the start of the draft. He said no one came to him that day with anything new about the Rodgers situation. Rather, the story stemmed from an “accumulation of information” that he decided to release then.

That’s not what happened.schefter just decided to release the news then because the Denver deal was for real but didn’t happen

So the guy who "broke" the story says there was nothing specific on draft day and that it was an accumulation of different things that he decided to publish on draft day, but you know that wasn't the case because...well, just because?

I should have read the thread. Schefter actually has a pretty big ego it seems

Sounds like Cobb back to the Packers is about to happen. I like the veteran presence, but he had a few years where he couldn't catch a cold.

Randall Cobb’s return to #Packers is real. #NFL source confirms
@chrisbrockman
report that one of Aaron Rodgers’ BFFs is returning. Not done quite yet, as Cobb’s restructuring his deal to make it happen. Cobb also will mentor his protégé Amari Rodgers, reunite with Davante Adams.

He's gone at end of season without a doubt.
