Why are so many NBA stars unlikable?

They seem to have more than any other sport. KD, Draymond, Lebron, Jimmy Butler, Carmelo, Dwight. AD and Kyrie are slowing adding themselves to that list.

The NBA is the single most player empowering league we have. No other league allows players to speak as freely about anything as the NBA does and no league allows the players to have as much power over the individual teams as the NBA does

I do not find them unlikable. I am just indifferent toward many of that group. The NBA has become so void of team and is entirely about satisfying star egos that I find it hard to follow sometimes.

I'm going to get killed for this, but I think there is a hint of racism in it. If you had Rodgers, Brees, Brady manipulating the system like NBA players, everyone would talk about how smart they are.

Eh I think it's more about the mobility that key stars in the NBA have. Guys like Brady would probably not be as well received in the NFL if he was just a mercenary which is reality for a lot of star players in the NBA

I have no problem with them manipulating the system. The owners agreed to the CBA the same way the players did. I do think the NBA CBA lacks teeth in preventing malingerers and the like as when Eric Gordon screwed the Pelicans.
I am not really fond of Lebron because he seems to think of himself as a Messiah as much as basketball players and carries himself in a condescending way. However, I would have left Cleveland much quicker than he ever did.

Luka, Giannis, Jokic, Embiid, and Porzingis are all extremely likeable.
Hmmmmmm,I'm seeing a trend in your list vs mine. American players vs International players. Interesting.
A lot if the younger stars are much more likeable than the aging stars. Doncic, Trae Young, and Jaren Jackson Jr are already among my favorite players and they're only rookies.

Brady gets a lot of hate and Rodgers does as well to a certain degree.
