How about the best program to never win an NCAA title?

I’d probably go with Illinois or Oklahoma.

My vote. A Kenyon Martin broken leg from at least one IMO.

Bruce Weber’s 2005 Illinois team was unreal and loaded with talent

Lou Henson had a few really good teams, including the flyin’ Illini final four team.

That 2011-12 Billikens team (His last season ever) was at least Elite Eight material. Freaking Draymond Green.

I would take Stevens out of it if he becomes a long-term NBA coach. He would have taken himself out of the running by not even seeking the opportunity (which is entirely understandable).

Huggins, Majerus, Eddie Sutton, Mark Few are my picks. Mike Brey is the best to never make a Final 4.

Tony Bennett was a solid pick until last year.

Ben Howland had a great stretch in the mid 2000s but has been bad since.

Sucks for Huggy that Kenyon Martin broke his leg with the one team he had that was the favorite to win it all.

Bob Huggins pretty easily. Underrated choice is Brad Stevens.

2000 Cincinnati would have been the biggest favorites to win the tournament than any team after them until 2018 Villanova. That team was miles ahead of everyone else in college basketball that year, Michigan State included.

Illinois wins this title going away, I think.
