I think he's there for a while. He hasn't had many teams looking at him seriously so far (unless he just fended off their interest before it went anywhere) and the longer he stays the less he looks like a miracle worker. Maybe SMU might try to buy him when the fire Jones; he'd fit well with one of the Kansas teams; can't think of anything else.
Yall building any suites in this stadium upgrade?

the suites are above the main bleachers. no suites are going to be added in this upgrade.

If there weren't 2 University of Louisianas it would be more accepted. Calling them ULL differentiates them from ULM so I don't even get why they don't want to seperate themselves from ULM. Build the brand of ULL. Are they not proud of their city?

Dont be terrified. Because he is 100% gone if/when Mullen leaves. No doubt about it.

There are countless examples of ESPN using the Lafayette Leopards' logo instead of ours on "accident". That kills our brand and image.

One school is twice the size of the other in enrollment as well as financially in both academics and athletics.
One school is undergoing a master plan in facilities in both academics and athletics, while the other struggles to buy cleats for the entire team at their respected bowl game.

The confidence you have in all of your logic throughout this thread has been hilarious. Not sure if you're actively trying to portray Ricky from Trailer Park Boys on the MSB or not.

So if just UL you dont think they will put up Louisville logo?

Thanks for noticing, but don't get mad at me because ULL fans are at war with themselves.

I'm sure the University of Texas at Austin has pride in their city. I'm also sure that the University of Tennessee at Knoxville loves their city as well. But that doesn't mean they have to brand it.

I dont know how anyone could confuse "Louisiana" with Louisville.

quote:Problem is there is not 100% acceptance on what the school calls its self. They want to be know as University of Louisiana or UL but the majority still use ULL. Hell older alumns still call it USL. You go to their web site and this image is on the front. I see this and immediately think they are the University of Louisiana Lafayette.

To make a re brand work you need to get all people on one page and do the leg work to get a name change completed. The University can't even figure out what they call themselves. Texas State had the same issue awhile back when they changed from Southwest Texas State University. Their re brand worked since they put the legwork into it and spent the cash to get the new name across.
quote:
In 2003, the school's Associated Student Government (ASG) approached State Senator Jeff Wentworth requesting that the school be renamed Texas State University at San Marcos. The ASG had unanimously approved a resolution supporting the name change citing 20 reasons for the change, including that the current name reflected too much regionalism for a university attempting to reach top-tier status. The ASG further said that donations from the school's alumni would go to implementing the name change so that state tax dollars would not be required.[13]

The simple fact that you people can seriously draw such ridiculous comparisons between yourselves & major universities discredits the entire movement. That is why you're given such hell about it. You're not even in the same stratosphere as those universities, yet you think that simply removing the second "L" from your name will change that.

BTW here is their official address at the bottom of their home page

Do we really have to re-explain this every time on here? Our official name without question is the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. But we brand ourselves athletically as Louisiana Ragin Cajuns or Louisiana or Ragin Cajuns.
It's like the University of Texas at Austin being referred to as the Texas Longhorns in athletics.
Contrary to Grit-Eating Shin's logic, the above statement does not mean I think our school is on the same level as UT. I cant believe I have to explain that.
