Who should really be the Heisman finalists

Bryce Young isn't the best player on his own team, nor is CJ Stroud.
The award is supposed be given to the most outstanding player in CFB.
This year, almost all of the finalists should be defensive linemen.
In no particular order:
Will Anderson - 30+ TFLs on the season. Insanity. Probably the most unblockable player in the country.
Jordan Davis - Unstoppable force and best player in the middle of the best defense since 1986.
Aiden Hutchinson - single-handily won the Penn State game and wrecked Ohio State's offensive gameplan. He can be knocked slightly, though, for having a 1st round pick on the other side of the Defense.
Kenny Pickett - took a mediocre Pitt team to the ACC championship game, where they very well may win the league. Also produced an anomoly great season in Pat Narduzzi's otherwise mediocre career coaching profile at Pitt.
Hon Mention:
Matt Corral (Ole Miss basically had no offense outside of him. Dude literally rushed 30 times against Miss State). Put him on Bama or Ohio State and he wins going away and probably has 50 TDs.
Kyle Hamilton - NFL scouts freak out over him. He's going to be a top draft pick. That's all I got.

If I had a vote, it'd be for Davis. He's a monster

Aiden Hutchinson
For a weak year, he had his Hessian moment sacking and beating Ohio State.

You’re an idiot. Alabama has like 3 more losses without Bryce, so outside of Will Anderson, he’s our best player by far.

I wish I had the time to go back and find everyone who was bitching about Chase Young being a Heisman finalist and then see who thinks Hutchinson should.
Their regular season stats aren’t even close and Young only played in 10 games.

eh, the 2019 class had 3 real standout QBs and then chase young alone on the 2nd tier.
This year has no standouts. Outside of 2009 when Suh should have won, this year is one of the better chances for a defensive player to take it home.

This is a year a defensive player should win. No real standout offensive players for a change.

Why should that preclude him from being a finalist? Should Mac Jones not have been a finalist last year? The Bryce Young hate is pretty weird to me. On one hand everyone is talking about how down Bama is. On the other hand they’re 11-1 and that because of Bryce Young

Young's stats are virtually identical to Fields' in 2019. And Fields had a better runningback and O-Line (dont remember much of Ohio State wide-outs that year)

Not to mention we didn’t see any crying about Stroud when he had the best odds to win it
Alabama might get a Heisman as a consolation prize in their freshman led 11-1 SECCG/potential playoff rebuilding year.
I think it’s upsetting some of our friends here on the MSB.

I really hope they don't give it to Bryce just because he's the QB at Alabama. But, if they beat Georgia, I'd say it's close to 100% they give it to him.
If they actually handed the award to the "most outstanding player" in the country, they'd give it to the Anderson kid at Bama. Or maybe Hutchinson at Michigan, he's had several heisman moments.

Kenny Pickett
Bryce Young
CJ Stroud
Matt Corral
That's who I think will end up being the finalists, not necessarily who I think should be. I don't really think anyone jumps off the page this year tbh. If defensive players had a real shot, I'd replace Pickett and Stroud with Jordan Davis and Will Anderson

Because it's likely to be given to an offensive player. He's very deserving. You just don't hear much about him because no one gives a shite about Pitt.

These days it the best player on a really good team, not the best player. I've seen David Bell of Purdue play and he is one of the best in the country.

i'd vote will anderson if i had a vote

just checked. young had 0 sacks and 2 QB pressures against UM in 2019. hutchinson had 3 sacks and 15 pressures (never been done since the stat was first recorded)
the best players gotta play their best in the biggest games
