For me, it's between:
- Johnny Bench
- Yogi Berra
- Pudge Rodriguez
Piazza, Campanella, Carter, and Yadi were all great too. Fisk was pretty good but had some poor seasons at the plate.

Easily Piazza.
Easily Piazza.

You can’t mention that name without posting the robot dugout gif.

Ernie Lombardi had two batting titles despite being slower than a Galapagos tortoise, but Johnny Bench was the best ever.

Bench was one of only two players to retire with the most HRs and Gold Gloves at his position.

Johnny Bench. Great hitter and a damn great defensive catcher.

That picture has the 1970, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1976, and 1977 MVPs.

Granted, Yogi played with the freaking Yankees, but I remember looking up his stats when I was a kid and being astonished by the numbers he put up in addition to all the winning he did. I don't recall specifics offhand, but his production when it counted was off the charts. Most people, especially younger folks, just know him for his quotes and commercials. Not to mention, he just doesn't look the part. I recommend reading his autobiography. One of my favorites.

Pudge. Especially when he started doing roids while on the Tigers. Straight hitting bombs.
