From the NFL?
Why was he not immediately fired and charged?

What he did was pretty shitty, but the soapboxing on this has become unbearable.

If you took a helmet and bashed a co-worker in the head, what would happen?

He needs to be suspended next year as well. Permanently? No.

If you tackled a coworker what would happen to you? I guess your workplace is nothing like a football field huh

Tackling is part of his job.
Not attempted murder.

The penalty should be harsh to be sure but permanently banning him might be a bit much

As far as being fired I suppose it would depend on what stipulations are in the contract as far as on field behavior and such. If there were such a clause in the contract that allowed them to part ways they might consider it. But I doubt that there is something that clear cut that would allow them to do so. NFL is big money and they have a lot of money tied up in him based on where they picked him.

So people are racists for wanting someone to be punished for assaulting someone on live tv in front of millions of people?

Did the white guy try to rip his helmet off and kick him in the nuts?

What penalty should he get? I'm asking because you apparently don't see color and have a black friend.

So everyone who doesn't have a problem with what he did should let him bash them in the top of their heads with a helmet.
Y'all line up.

I'd like to see how you react to someone Garret's size swinging a 6 pound blunt object at you full force without an offensive lineman there to intervene for you.

Bet you don't just stand there with an unamused look on your face saying, "Ok boomer."

The gap between "he did something wrong and should be suspended & fined appropriately" and "attempted murder" is bigly
