When did men's basketball teams start wearing wrestling tight tops?

Marquette is wearing these in Maui right now and Michigan wore something similar last night.

Better than the super baggy uniforms that they used to wear.

I wonder what Tractor Traylor would have looked like in those.

Funny how Michigan was the poster boy for the baggy trend and now they're in tights.

The back of the jerseys look goofy. The numbers are at the armpits and there's about 4 inches for the nameplate.

I actually wore nylon socks when playing basketball. I would wear typical socks over them but they helped to mitigate blisters. Regarding tight shirts, i see no reason for normal straight guys to wear stretch shirts but i would think baggy jerseys could impede arm movement. Wear something in the middle. Is this due to the tight pants generation? Everything going androgenous with attire? If so, Cam may switch to bball
