What’s up with Kwame Brown this week?

I heard the interview Arenas had with Barnes and Jackson. Honestly, they came off sympathetic to Kwame. His lashing out personally is basically proving everyone's point that he's mentally fragile.

He just went after Jemele Hill 2 hours ago. That man is fed up after all these years of slander . Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson started with him on their podcast.

Already went in on MJ. Said the reason MJ despised him is because MJ wanted to trade him and go after Elton Brand and he dont know shite about running a team and all he want to do is play golf.

He kept using the teen age boy excuse but Stephen a gets paid to breakdown players and that’s what he did with Kwame. If your in the league teen or not and your garbage Stephen a will call you out.

Arenas was pretty sympathetic, saying he had all the tools to be great, but MJ made it hard for him when he was just starting out. However Barnes and Jackson were definitely snickering at him when mentioning the Pau Gasol trade, basically saying they shouldn't even mention that Kwame was part of the trade because he was irrelevant, and then later laughing sarcastically like "Kwame was the best 1st overall pick of all time".


Kwame's been silent all these years but he probably felt a type of way seeing that it's not just the media types piling on him anymore, it's his former teammates that he thought he was cool with joining in on it too and that broke the camel's back.

20 years of being the butt of all NBA jokes. Dude's had enough

I watched him talk for like an hour and his main point is valid.

Basically, the dude is saying everyone wants to call him a failure but to himself he's not.

He went from a dirt poor kid to 13 years in the league with the ability to provide an amazing life for his family. It's about more than basketball, it's about being a man.

Meanwhile, they're on a podcast acting like a bunch of bitches when Kwame apparently covered for their fakeness and frick ups for years.

Jamarcus Russell lasted 3 whole years and it was because he refused to put in the work (lying about watching game film when Kiffin gave him a blank DVD to test him, etc). Kwame at least stayed in the league for a dozen or so years and at least had his uses as a role player despite not living up to the #1 pick and it wasn't because he refused to put the work in. And Orlovsky was never Russell's teammate and Barnwell never even played the game.

Kwame's been silent this whole time when it was just career media types talking about him, he seemed just fine chilling on his property he owns and living the country life and letting dudes he doesn't care about say whatever they want. But it's different when it's dudes you played alongside, traveled together, and shared real life experiences with and you thought you were cool with, to see them broadcasting to the world that you're a bum, laughing at and mocking you and saying that your life is dirt, etc. Pile that on top of 20 years of others talking about him, and yeah I don't blame him for saying "frick it" and going full scorched earth.

But that's the thing. Kwame wasn't garbage. He was a good defensive center w/mediocre offense. Was he worth the #1 draft pick? No. However, he was not some total piece of trash scrub like all these people on TV always pretend. You don't last 10 years in the league if you are total garbage.
