I'm sure he'll draft a 6th round graded tight end from Kennesaw State in the 2nd round tomorrow.

Let’s not act like the Saints have a sterling draft history. The 2917 draft was great and it was followed by a 2018 draft that was pretty much useless from top to bottom. He hit on McCoy in 2019. Last year’s draft niot offf to a great start. Cesar Ruiz can’t block a blocking sled. Trautman might be OK. The linebacker is probably a bust.

But Sean Payton is a fricking genius if you listen to Payton and most Saints fans.

Saints won four straight division titles. 2017 draft was epic, 2018 draft looks like a bust, but the 2019 draft had two ballers (McCoy and CGJ) and found a legit special teams player in the late rounds. Seems to me that the saints know what they are doing. But you do you.

My answer would be one to two. But that and a nice steak dinner while drafting sound like an awesome evening. I’m a lightweight though.

Yeah, that’s not really what you’re shooting for in round 1. I’d love to see Terrace Marshall drop to them, but that’s highly unlikely, and I have no faith that they would take him if he was there.
