For this exercise let's use at least 2 teams you root for, not just the best era of one team. Thread inspired by the fact that Verlander just got hurt for nothing and Brees has been cancelled, so the best years of my fandom probably just ended

Plus, thought some of you might want to think about happier times instead of this clown world

I'll go first: 2017-2019

Saints: 3 straight division titles, most wins in NFL over span, one split second of NFL ineptitude away from a Brees v. Brady Super Bowl
Astros: 3 straight 100 win seasons, WS Champs, another AL title, pissing off Yankee and Dodger fans for all eternity
LSU: Citrus Bowl-> Fiesta Bowl -> Greatest season ever, Natty, Heisman, etc.

My college years
2010-2013
UofSC football had its best run ever

Extend it 2 more years Panthers went to the SuperBowl.
But not much winning outside of that

I got lucky. I attended South Carolina from 2010-2013.

During that time we won the East in football and then did the 3 straight 11-win seasons with consecutive top 10 finishes.

The baseball team won 2 national titles and another CWS runner-up.

Basketball team sucked but they did get a win over #1 UK. That calendar year (2010-2011 I think it was) we beat #1 UK in basketball, #1 Alabama in football, and #1 Arizona St. in baseball. At the time we were one of like 2-3 schools to have ever done that.

Since those are the only three teams I really follow... pretty easy to just say that you answered the question for me.

Plus LSU basketball had a Sweet 16 run in there.

I was 14 when LSU beat Oklahoma for the 03 championship. So 2003 through January 9th, 2012 at roughly 8pm

Could argue that was the greatest 8-10 year run in LSU history and I was at the age where sports mean the most to you. Factor in that's about when you start drinking and actually tailgating, easy answer for me.

Pro teams is weird for me...

I was a Twins fan growing up (long story) since DC did not have a team, and in 83 Redskins SB, and 87 Twins and Redskins both win titles, and then 91, Redskins and Twins win titles again.

And as you know...long, long drought until 2018 for the Caps and 2019 for Nats. DC was Cleveland light for almost 25 years.

My years as a student of The University of Alabama (2008-2012). So much was happening that hadn't been seen since the days of Bear Bryant and I was right in the middle of it all.

Those first 4 years of the Brees run culminating in the Super Bowl.

When I was at LSU from 99-03. It was fun to build from shitty to national champions as experienced a lot of wins as underdogs all the way to top of the mountain. Hell even in the championship season we were always kind of the underdogs which to me is always a bit more enjoyable as opposed to trying to stay on top.

Seem like the “golden age” for me has existed for 17 years starting in 2003 with LSU, being a LeBron fan, Yankees fan, Saints Fan, Heat fan, and Eagles fan.

Same as OP

I could counter with 2007-2009 to get an LSU football natty and a Saints Super Bowl win, but the OP tops it by a bit.

2005-2009, basically my college experience. LSU Football, LSU Basketball, LSU baseball, and the saints.

In college to see LSU win a Natty in FB and baseball, and make a final 4 and just graduated to see the saints win it.

2003

Red Wings had the greatest offseason in the history of pro sports. And destroy everyone on the way to winning a championship

Pistons were great and would go on to win the title.

Michigan Football would beat Ohio State and finish top 10 + Mike Hart was on the way.

Peyton won his 1st MVP

Tigers and Michigan basketball sucked

Packers: SB win, 10+ win seasons 5 of 6 years, and Rodgers at his peak

Badger BB: One of the best 4 year stretches in program history started off with 2 sweet 16's, then a final four, followed by a championship appearance, and taking down undefeated Kentucky

Badger FB: 3 straight Rose Bowls, Russell Wilson as QB, beat Auburn in Outback, and USC in Holiday Bowl
