Wow WVU and Maryland are retarded, "let's join a conference full of Midwestern schools we have no history with!" I would've given up my fan allegiance tbh

Fish rots from the head down. Their AD is obviously crap.

I just watched a Charlie Ward zoom interview saying that Norvell was actually the first choice after Jimbo left by the majority, including President Thrasher, but in the end then AD Stan Wilcox made the decision on Taggart. I'll just leave it at that

Nothing. Taggart was just a bad hire. It happens.

They didn’t have their head on straight when they hired him. Success wasn’t the most important factor I that hiring process

The team was shitty before he took the job.

I don't know, but that offense was fun to watch

Really wild that FSU "only" won 2 MNCs in that stretch. Imagine if there had been a playoff. Or in 2000 if Richt had prepared for Oklahoma instead of the UGA job

It sucked having to play Tennessee with Marcus Outzen at qb. There were several times in the late 80's early 90's when FSU was the best team at the end of the year. Too many chokes against Miami

Was way before my time, but watching that 1987 game Miami-FSU game on YT gave me some appreciation for what that rivalry was, just incredible talent and attitude on both teams. And Bowden going for two to avoid a tie at the end. Can't get better than that. 2000 was the best one I can remember

He is to my memory. I was 10 years old his Heisman year and I couldn't believe what I was watching.

would WV have had a home in the ACC or SEC? Because if you’re staring at the AAC and you get the golden ticket into a P5 you take it

Maybe they are normally like what they were before Bowden and he was just a Fluke good hire, then they got the residual from Jimbo for awhile and now they will be meh until they stumble upon another coach.

I have about concluded, assuming your facilities are at least adequate, the head coach is everything in CFB.
