What is Westbrook realistically supposed to do?

There's no doubt in any other situation Russ would hold on to the ball too much, but my goodness. His starting small forward is 3/21 from the free throw line in the series. FREE THROW LINE. Any Joe blow can make at least 40-50%. I'm not even a Wetbroom lover, but the Thunder literally don't have another guy that can shoot and Olidipo is the only other player that can create his own shot at least sometimes.

I havent said anything to this point but my God that supporting cast is just awful. Alan Crabbe would be a significant upgrade in talent for this team and who the hell is Allen Crabbe.

he was 2-11 in the 4th quarter today, he shate the bed in the 4th of game 2.....the guy is overrated as frick, but he's a great stat padder.....the 1 game OKC killed it....he shot 0 threes, odd how that happens

He used to have a ton of talent around him....but he ran them off.

Now he can get the pretty stats without the team accomplishments.

One thing he could do is show some sportsmanship is shake the Rockets hands like the rest of his team was. Instead he walks off the court after the buzzer like a sore loser.

Here come Rocket fans trying to blame Russ for the loss. Damn shame these idiots in the city I live in are obsessed with a guy that is equivalent to the guy playing pickup that calls fouls every time he misses a shot.

Their backup point guard situation is also atrocious. It's freaking Norris Cole and Semaj Christon.
He is overly reliant on 3's, which has always been a weakness of his game, but it's hard to exclusively shoot 2's when the defending team will eventually collapse into the paint

He shouldn't walk off the court when the rest of the team is showing class to Houston and good sportsmanship. This is one reason why he's easy for people to dislike.

When you literally carry a team in a playoff atmosphere you might get gassed. That is one of the most ignorant posts I've seen. Go run up and down a court for 40 minutes then shoot a basketball. I guarantee it is many times harder.

Only in Houston would people blame this on Westbrook:

You need to understand that Rockets' fans are head over heels in love with a guy that plays half a game and coasts on defense unlike Russ.

That's also why he's beloved.

Finally the answer.

Not like he didn't have talent around him. Remember when OKC was the future back when they lost to the Lakers in the first round years ago? They were the talk of the town--the future dominant organization.

Now, they are boink. One day I hope someone makes a documentary on the downfall of this once bright, promising future that could have been.

great stats, it lead him to a 1 win and 4 losses, maybe he should look at stats that matter more like his team is 1-0 when he takes 1 3 pointer or less and use that as a stepping stone next season.....bricking 8-10 three balls a night helps nobody

I'm not knighting for the guy, but he still shot 44% for the game. I'm not saying he doesn't hold the ball too much because he does. He also is not good from 3. He just has nothing around him. Adams is a good player but he's a rebounding big man. There is not one single guy on that team other than Olidipo that's even a good player. I've watched this series, but I guess this being the elimination game I realised how just pathelically awful the Thunder are besides 1 player.

When he's on the court his team was better than the other team 4 out of 5 games. I'm not sure what he can do differently?
