Has anybody ever tried just staying in a base when every other dumbass is losing the game playing prevent?

It only prevents you from winning

It wasn't a prevent. Seattle was still blitzing.

ETA: it was softer coverage, but not a prevent.

Well its better than the Saints running all out blitzes against the 49ers last year and letting Alex fricking Smith go all the way down the field in a minute to win the game

they blitzed, if they rushed 3 they might have won. Certainly better than leaving gonzales open

Higher than everyone thinks. Everyone bitches about it when it doesn't work, but crickets all the times that it does.

The difference in all these scenarios is that a FG wins this game.

Probably as successful as icing the kicker. Therefore not great.

Prevent does not work EVER when the opponent just needs a field goal.

Prevent only works if they need a td, not fg
