Went to games at Hofheinz Pavilion where UH struggled to put 100 in the stadium:

Was that the one where they dropped money from the rafters after the game as a way to boost attendance? LOL

I was at that Saints-Rams game in the Superdome in 1996 when the announced attendance was 26,000. There’s no way there was 26,000 people there. MUCH less. People forget how bad the Saints and their support was in the 90’s- the Superdome was half-filled often.

I’ve been to some Tulane games in the Superdome when the announced attendance was 5,000 to 7,000, although it was actually less seemed completely empty.

I’ve been to several UNO baseball games over the years where there weren’t 50 people (more players/coaches on the field than people in the stands).

We played vs SEMO after an ice storm one year with 125 folks in the stands (football)

As for as a fan probably went to a Arkansas Houston Baptist game midweek as a kid probably 75–90 people

I happened to be near the local minor league baseball park a few years ago, when I saw they had a 10:30 game. I was free for they day, so I stopped by. I was the only fan in the entire stadium until about 10 minutes before first pitch.

Then, the flood gates opened, and elementary school kids poured in from every entrance. The early start time was a school promotion. They bused them in from all over town. The place was packed, and I had kids all over me, spilling drinks, being silly, and doing kid things.

It was actually fun. The kids really got into it, but there for while I was alone thinking "I'm going to get a lot of foul balls."

AAA game(s, it was a doubleheader) in Buffalo. It was a Monday night in early May and about 40 degrees at first pitch. Peak attendance was about 100. When we left midway during the second game there were maybe 40 people in the seats.

That was during halftime (IIRC, there were more than 2,000 at that game).

Went to a couple of Zephyrs games (before they went all-in on stupid and became the BabyCakes) and the place was a ghost town. 6pm game on a Wednesday in the summer drew maybe 100 people to the park. I am shocked I didn't end up with a foul ball.

LSU vs Wyoming basketball the night of the Oklahoma Florida state national title game. Maybe 5,000 people and both teams wore gold.

You must not go to many games if 5,000 people at an LSU basketball game is the least amount you’ve seen.

I went to a Miami Marlins game vs the Mets and maybe 500 people at most were there? It was ridiculously empty.

I’ve been going to games since I was 6 months old. That crowd was very small. One against Cornell was small too. Saw 3 number one teams play here in UConn, Kentucky, and Oklahoma. Haven’t been in 3 years though.

Was in Brooklyn for Thanksgiving a couple years ago when Tennessee was playing Kansas and Louisville at Barclays in the prime time slots and wandered over to Barclays for an “undercard” one off neutral site game between St Louis and Pitt in the middle of the day on a Wednesday afternoon.

There were 76 people in the gym (outside of players and staff) most of them in this photo. Only 2 sections were open for seating.

This was typical at New Orleans Zephyrs' games after about 2001-2002 until their departure. Worked game-day for a few seasons. Disheartening to say the least.

UNO baseball and basketball have been similar for 30+ years, now. Even in the Tim Floyd era, 3,000 was about the tops for games against Memphis.
