What if the B1G raided the SEC?

What if the B1G pulled a fast one and decided to offer Florida, Texas A&M, and possibly Missouri and Vandy. They are all AAU schools, and the academic folks at those universities would love it. They would get more money in the B1G than in the SEC, both in terms of research money (big money) and sports (if those schools chose to join).
I am putting this out there under the hypothesis that Fox and ESPN (really Disney) hate each other, and that the B1G and SEC are not thinking about a playoff alliance to block other conferences, but in truth are at war with each other for power and influence.
Military history teaches us that two great powers rarely live in peace with each other for long.

Ahh This has to be a troll

There is no evidence that schools would make more from tv contracts in the B1G than the SEC and currently the opposite is true.
The schools you mentioned are already in the AAU and wouldn’t receive any additional funds for joining the B1G.
I’m actually not sure if anything you posted is correct.

A few months back some troll was predicting that the Big 10 would raid the Pac12 and steal USC & UCLA.
Where do people get this stuff?

I’m sure Sankey has called them begging them to take Vandy and Mizzou

Putting Mizzou and Vandy on a list of teams being “raided” by another conference is hard for me to take as a serious post
The SEC would help them pack

They can take Kentucky and Missouri. They border B1G states and they care more about basketball than the SEC does.

Convenient how you ignored that the OP also listed Florida and aTm as AAU schools that the Big 10 may be considering.

The only reason an SEC school would consider playing in the Big 10 would be because it would be so easy to dominate.
The money would never be bigger there.
And it would never happen.
I could see Michigan and Ohio State joining the SEC when the NCAA folds.

why would florida and A&M leave the SEC, a conference in which both schools have long standing relationships with multiple members, to be out on weird islands all by themselves in a conference that they have zero relationships, for a nominal pay increase and playing games in east lansing and madison in november?

Just like Penn State & Nebraska said that they would dominate the Big 10 when they joined.
How did that work out?
Florida & aTm would face a similar fate.

Ohio State and Penn State would fit the SEC culture the best. But would Ohio State leave Michigan? I see Michigan acting like they’re “too good” for the SEC.
Nebraska could fit too, especially with the Big 8/Big 12 connections.

This is more plausible and at least Ohio State has reached out to the SEC about joining.

And your source for this?

With the exception of Florida, please, I beg them!

Culture wise, Nebraska > Ohio State and Penn State.
Those Cornhuskers are good folk.

Yeah because the other two are so dumb there’s no need to consider it an actual possibility any further
Is this your alter, it’s weird how much you’re defending this
