If TCU beats OU then they'd both finish at 11-2, both have beaten each other once but TCU is the conference champ. That would knock OU out of the conversation and by extension OSU (since I can't believe OSU would would go over OU), right?

Seems like TCU has as good of a shot as any and I don't hear anybody really discussing it.

Bro we suck arse. Ohio state just needs to get a much needed big ten title as Meyer only has one to his name and gonto a good bowl and win. Osu would get killed in the playoffs and I'm not afraid to admit it.

At that point the #4 team will probably be a doormat anyhow.

So why not go ahead and invite UCF to the mix? They'll lose just as badly but at least the CFP can say they invited an unbeaten Group of 5 team.

According to 538's predictor tool, neither would make the playoffs. TCU would have a 17% chance with a win, OU 12%.

As much as I hate to admit it, I couldn't agree more

How could you justify OU in over TCU? Identical records, both beat each other once, one has a conference championship?

Honestly, WGAF? We’ve been blown out twice this season. If we backdoor our way into the #4 spot(highly possible), I’ll be happy, but I’m really not concerned.

If TCU beats OU, the Big 12 gets left out. I don't agree with it, but TCU is too far down the rankings to make that big of a jump. Their only chance would be to blow the doors off of OU which I don't see happening.

Theyre both out. It would be Clemson, Auburn, Ohio State, Bama.

We can assume that for three conference championship games, the winner is in and the loser is out. Those games are:

1. Clemson v. Miami
2. Auburn v. Georgia
3. Wisconsin v. Ohio State

Therefore, if TCU beats Oklahoma, it is really a matter of which team takes OU's place. The contenders would be (in order):

1. Alabama
2. TCU
3. USC/Stanford winner
4. UCF

In virtually every scenario, the predictor tool has Alabama getting the nod. Therefore, the (likely) answer to your question is: Alabama gets in if OU loses.
