Do they leave out the SEC Champs or UGA?

Undefeated TCU and OSU are in.

Committee isn't leaving USC out if they win the PaC 12 with 1 loss.

TCU and OSU would be a lock.

USC would be in.

LSU if they beat UGA..who had a terrible win yesterday. Bit you never know. Conference championship have proven to carry little weight when it comes down to money.

We're done with that ESPN rematch crap. Glad you lost your shirt on the abysmal ratimgs after pumping it so hard.

Does USC beating a number 16 hold more weight than LSU beating a number 6 and a number 1?

If LSU can win the next two.

It seems this committee likes LSU a lot.

I think at that point you just go into it saying the SEC championship is a play in game. That's the only way to fairly settle it. LSU has 2 bad losses but they were earlier so let's see where the teams are today.

USC has a very tough road ahead. I just don't see them winning out.

If USC wins out they will have more quality wins than LSU. Plus 1 less loss

UCLA, ND, Oregon, Oregon State, Fresno

Bama, Georgia, Ole Miss (who is going downhill fast)

The SEC is really down this year.

You almost had me, too early on a Sunday for that shiny hook.

So 7-4 Fresno with a loss to UCONN is quality win but ole miss is not. Got it

He listed ole miss as a quality win.

If Fresno is a quality win for USC, then Miss State is a quality win for LSU.

Now consider that LSU would have wins over UGA and Bama, both likely Top 10 teams in the final rankings. What Top 10 wins does USC have at the end?

If anything, this argument should be about UGA, who would be the SEC runner-up, and whether or not they belong in over PAC-12 Champ USC or SEC Champ LSU. Their best win just got smashed by the Gamecocks, and they would be the odd man out of that 5 team group as the lone team to not win their conference.

Either the one field results matter, or they don't. And when you have a head-to-head between 2 of the teams you are considering, that has to matter at some point.

In this scenario, I'm not confident they put us in over the 1-loss UGA, unless we somehow absolutely blow them out.

Georgia would get in. Similar situation with records happened in 2016 with OSU getting in over Penn State.

I think TCU, OSU, USC, UGA is your playoff in this scenario.

TCU/OSU/USC are locks if they win out. I think UGA would still get the nod over LSU but man that would be close and a tough call for the committee

I’m fairly confident USC or TCU trips up in the conference championship game. I think K State revenges it loss from earlier when they had their 3rd string QB come in up 28-14 and do nothing after that. And I think a healthy Bo Nix and Oregon can take down USC

TCU, OSU, & USC would be in.

It would come down to 11-2 SEC champ LSU or 12-1 UGA who just lost to LSU.

I could see it both ways.

If TCU and OSU win out they’re in.

If LSU wins out I think they’re in with their resume.

I think Georgia gets the 4th spot over USC. They went undefeated in the regular season and are the defending National Champions, so they’re in probably based on that alone. USC has looked shaky all year.

There's one difference, though. Ohio State had an entire season to make up for the loss to Penn State. LSU would have beaten UGA in the final game of the regular season.

They committee is going to put themselves in a difficult spot. LSU may be #5 this week, unless they jump USC over LSU (very possible). Either way, LSU is likely #5 going into the CCGs with either Ohio State or Michigan losing. If they beat UGA in the SECCG, I don't see how they aren't in the playoff.

But watch out for this. If the loser of the OSU/UM game (especially if it's Michigan) stays ahead of LSU in the penultimate CFP rankings, then the committee is setting up to leave SEC Champion LSU out unless either TCU or USC loses their respective CCG. At that point, they could move LSU up to #5 and keep them out.

I really don’t see them leaving out USC if they win out.

I think it’d be

1) OSU
2) TCU
3) Georgia
4) USC

In that scenario. I’m afraid the only chance we’d have is if we just beat the absolute crap out of UGA. I could be wrong idk.

I don’t think we’ll see usc jump lsu in the cfp this week but you’ll start hearing rumblings setting the stage for if they beat notre dame next week.
