What an 8 Team Playoff would look like using 11/19 CFP Ranking

The final Top 8 will look different than this Top 8, but even just using just this week’s ranking, who wouldn't love to see this playoff at the end of the year?
There are some great match ups here. It's likely that at the end of the year, the Big 12 champ will be one of the final 8 since there’s only going to be 1 Pac-12 team, and possibly the third SEC team doesn’t make it, but this week's 8 team bracket is still an improvement over a 4 team playoff.
Having the 1st round games at the home stadiums of the Top 4 is a giant reward for making the Top 4. These are match ups rarely seen at most home stadiums.
It's interesting that the left half of the bracket is almost an SEC only invitational.

Looks awesome, but this year is the exception. Typically the 1 vs 4 has been a blowout. This is the first year where the 6 or 7 seed could actually win it all.

As I said, I think it's wrong not to have some Group of 5 teams in a 16 team bracket. By year's end, I'm sure a least a couple will be in there.

1, 2, 3 easily advance. No need to expand to 8 teams and play meaningless games.
