I used pure acetone on this and tester's paint. Zero effect on the black and final results:
The odyssey logo on the face did awesome, one time, no problems. The bottom was a bit of a hassle. Took several attempts as any little bit of a catch and it would pull out.

get citrus orange gel paint remover, take a q tip and spread some over the paint, then wait 15 mins and scrape old paint out with a toothpick. Then clean with acetone, paint with nail polish, let dry for an hour then take a paper towel with non acetone nail polish remover to wipe away the paint outside the letters

i started with that method them improved on it.
1. use citrus strip to remove old oem paint instead of acetone. its much faster
2. i never have mixed the paint with alcohol, way too much trouble
3. i just paint all over the place them wipe clean

do you have to remove prior paint or can you just paint over it?
all the youtube videos i've seen have them painting over the old paint.

the problem i have found with painting over the old paint is the new paint just chips out and doesnt last. The new paint sticks to metal surface better then a painted one
