I don't care how Vitale, or ESPN, tries to play that off. Knight was about to kick his arse.

As a big fan of Knight, and hater of Dicky V, I loved it.

Seemed like Vitale just wanted to give him a hug.

Glad Vitale just played it off.

Didn't look like Knight was messing around. Like he was telling at Dick V "don't you f-ing touch me".

Would love to know what was said.

Bobby looks like he could do as much damage as Mermaid Man at his age

It did look like he wanted to punch him. That would have been funny if with a mock skit he picked up a chair and tossed it or Vitale across the floor.

I’m not sure Knight could toss a tennis ball across the floor. Good to see him still acting like a tough guy though

Lol what an awkward exchange. Dicky V’s creepy, heavy breathing chuckle afterwards was weird as hell.

I didn’t realize Knight was in such bad shape

He isn't in great shape but the way you guys were talking about him I was expecting to see him at 100 lbs and catatonic. He's an old 79.

And he definitely wanted to kick Vitale's arse.

He has dementia, that is textbook action for someone with dementia, they don't act rationally. He probably shouldn't have been at the game, this was probably a last ditch effort before it was absolutely too late to make it happen.

So Knight has some obsession about his hair even though he looks like he could die any second

This is odd.

I remember several occasions over the years where Dickie V campaigned for "Robert Montgomery Knight" to get several high profile jobs, even when it was obvious Knight had no chance of getting any of those jobs.

I always assumed they were friends, especially since Knight worked at ESPN after he retired.

I’m glad he made up and went back before it’s too late. Like someone said in the other thread yesterday, whether you hated or loved him, he was what made Indiana basketball for a long time.

It looked like it was jokey but he may not have the sharpest motor skills anymore so it looked rougher.

Yeah, it looked like Knight was just messing with him. Knight fought to get Vitale inducted into the basketball HOF, and even presented him. No way he was legitimately trying to beat his arse yesterday.
