Guess we'll find out what kind of team Walker is. . .
Are they decent, or are they Walker?

Is Rusty still leading the charge at Broadmoor?

Looks like a Tulane home game.
Walker stands packed. More Walker band members than Bucc fans.

He's no longer the head coach. He was co-head coach last year I think. He was moving to OC/stepping down and just being the AD. Not sure exactly his involvement this year but deff not the HC anymore. That job was taken over by long time assistant Elliot Wilkins

Broadmoor has 4 plays:
Option right
Option left
Veer right
Veer left
It's like Tecmo Bowl taught them how to run that offense but.....
IT WORKS!!!!

Crazy he is still going. He was talking retirement when I graduated 17 years ago.

Yep and what's even crazier is they've bounced from 4A-5A the last 15 years but still always have the smallest amount of players on the team in the area.

Yeah, my folks still live in Broadmoor area. I remember few years ago visiting and driving by and saw them outside practicing. Looked like they had about 20-25 players. Was kinda sad. School used to have some great teams.

Yup they sure did. I'm a few years younger than you. I'm about 13 years removed. But those late 90's teams with Richard, Woods, Duncan, Franklin, Hawkins, and Derouen(sp) were nasty. Just couldn't get over that John Curtis hump like most teams.

Matter of fact John Curtis knocked us out my senior year but we weren't true contenders like those late 90's teams.

Yeah, was either 98 or 99 team that lost to JC that had Johnathan Wells. Dude went crazy that game.

Dang didn't realize that about Hawkins. But ya I remember it was back to back years I think both at Broadmoor. One year was in the semifinals Broadmoor was undefeated and another year inthink they had lost one game and was in the quarters. Neither year was close. One year it poured down raining. I remember one year Broadmoor forced a 3 & out to open the game but ruffed the punter. It was downhill after that.

Think they have over 60 kids on team now

Broadmoor is the worst 5A football team in Louisiana. Beating Belaire and Glen Oaks means nothing. EBR public school football is a cesspool.

JC that had Jonathan Wells
It was the semifinals in the 1997 playoffs. I was a senior OL on that Curtis team. We won 33-0. That Curtis team was one that really put it together as the season progressed. We ended up outscoring all of our playoff opponents by something like 256-10.
The 2 things that I remember most about that game was one of our running backs broke his leg on the goal line going in to score. I just remember him screaming. The other is after the game, we went sliding through the mud on the sideline to celebrate going to the dome.
