Our society absolutely loves to shite on good stories these days. Seems like the guy has accomplished a lot by 34.
Personally I think I guy using the word cringe on a message board to shite on a guys goal for cool points probably a lot sadder than anything this guy has done.

With all the bull shite arbitrary rules the NCAA pulls out their arse to make actual college-aged football players ineligible, letting a 34 year old with wife and kids play is pretty wild

No. If you have eligibility, and you're still in shape. I say go for it.
I don't tell 65 year olds attending college classes with a bunch of 18 year olds that it's weird.

Taking college classes in pursuit of a degree is really not the same as playing college athletics with teenagers and 20 year olds - come on now. I was waiting for someone to make this false equivalence
