I believe that some of the trademarks from the original USFL were not purchased. I don't which ones weren't. In addition to your list, other teams were the Oklahoma Outlaws, Washington Federals and Chicago Blitz.
The LA Express had zero support in the original league. I doubt there is an incentive to place a team there today either. The LA Express actually signed Steve Young to an unheard of $40 million dollar contract to get him.
The USFL was probably more akin to MLB in regard to financial wealth of the owners. You had those paying high enough salaries to attract the top college players and veteran NFL players versus those struggling to make payroll.

To say it again, even almost 40 years later, all the team logos still look pretty sharp. The original league definitely got their monies worth when they chose the original team names and logos.

South 3-0. No pressure, Tampa.

The South Division is 3-0. Let's see if Tampa Bay can make it 4-0.

A lot of those were the same team. The Federals became the Renegades. The Oklahoma Outlaws merged with Alan Risher’s Arizona Wranglers to become the Arizona Outlaws. The other names/logos are probably included in the filing.

Oklahoma Outlaws
They were only in OK for the first year. They merged with AZ for the final two years.

Damn I was looking forward to this one. Derrick Dillon for the Maulers was the forgotten receiver of the 2019 LSU team being stuck behind Jefferson/Chase/Marshall
