ESPN announces the news and then sends it to Mike Greenberg to talk about it.

Hopefully LSU gets him in two years. Rest up Urban.

Notre Dame gets blown out in the CFP, underachieves next year, and Brian Kelly is let go.

Urban Meyer will then be named their next head coach in 2020, following a year off and a "miraculous health turnaround."

Or something like that.

Why would he announce this now and let it be a distraction?

I'm guessing he is retiring due to health reasons? Hopefully nothing serious if he is

So Tom Rinaldi has time for a good sob story before the Rose Bowl.

A distraction from what? He’s doing it to create stability for the recruits and players going forward
