I just don't see how the SEC can get this done, prudently, in such short of a time. Playing the 10 game schedule as previously suggested is feasible. However, adding additional teams would only create conflict and would require a complete overhaul of all the schedules.

isn't there 3 open dates for each team during the season and the season is not scheduled to start till the 26th? You can start one week early and fill in some of those bye weeks with games...

I don't know if it will help regular season but those conferences could effectively create their own post season playoff essentially.
