Since it only took their crack investigative unit 2 years to find out anything at all I am sure they thoroughly did everything possible to debunk this accusation. Baseball only wants to be fair, they have no motive to sweep any of this under the rug.

Only reason this is even being investigated is because it was mentioned. Boston is going through the same thing and so will other teams.

The Yankees will get nothing because any penalty on the Yankees messes with MLB’s bottom line. MLB is still pissed it wasn’t Yankees-Dodgers in the 2017 World Series.

They just fired their manager because he was looking at a longer suspension than Hinch. The team may not get hit as hard unless MLB finds out it was an organized involvement.
Personally, the whole "MLB is out to get the Astros" is fairly comical just like for the Saints who still feel the NFL wants them to lose.

We'll see.
If the Red Sox were cheating in 2018 just like the Astros were in 2017 then they should lose the same picks and be fined the same.
Or any other team that is discovered to have cheated after that Sep. 2017 memo.
If MLB doesn't penalize all cheaters the same, then it would seem as if they are out to get the Astros.
