LOL. To be this delusional.

I just think fed didn't want to play Novak in the final.

To come back from 0-2 down you need to actually go 0-2 down. I have a feeling the percentage of his matches where he’s done that are much lower than the majority of his peers.

It really just seemed like he was tired and didn't have much to offer, which we've seen from Federer recently and is to be expected of someone his age. He was just beat by a better guy. I don't think Novak being in the draw had much to do with it.

He 100% is going to dig through the data to find something to rebut you guys. And I know you will do the same. Which, I respect, because finding tennis numbers besides basic results and H2H is pretty difficult.

He could come back with data to suggest I’m wrong and I wouldn’t be surprised. Just seems to reason that Fed hasn’t gone down 0-2 throughout his career at a higher percentage than his peers.

This is sad actually. Now that Novak will be the unquestioned GOAT, the debates/arguments will be about Roger vs. Rafa now, instead of appreciating that each of them produced many more years of insane tennis moments and memories than we could have ever expected.

Yeah, I am a Fedtard. But, something tends to happen with guys I root against that I kind of like them toward the end of their careers. Rafa is a good dude and I have just tried the last few years to appreciate the gaudy stuff he has done. I don't love Novak's personality or tennis style, but to surpass these guys after 10-15 years of GOAT debate about them is crazy. If you told me in 2002 that three guys would blow by Sampras' career achievements within 20 years, I would have said you are out of your mind.
I do think a discussion for another day is -- are the three best guys ever really playing right now? Well, yeah, by the major numbers, of course they are. But, it makes me think more, how has the sport changed that this happened?

This slam has pretty much sucked, but I think the US Open has the potential to be the best one in a long time. So many different guys can win, and the story of Novak winning all 4 in one calendar year and his 21st slam all at once will be remarkable.

This sucks. Novak gets to walk to another title
Of the Big 3 only one has racked up wins against weak competition. Name all the titles Djoko has “walked into” and then do the same for Fed.

Great questions. I don’t think a quick reply would suffice, so I’ll try to answer at length in the other thread when the tourney is over.

This would be an all-timer if he had lost the match.

You get down voted because you post like a dimwitted, petulant child. Your display in the French Open thread was pathetic.

Nice and easy Pliskova over 22.
And the ML hits too. Nice!

Barty-Pliskova should be a good one.
Sabalenka was outmatched those last 2 sets. Plis is playing so well all tournament.
