Congrats to the UL! They needed a good win in a Monroe.
Man, what a start to the year:
1) LSU
2) UL
3) ULL
4) LaTech

LSU is not their full either. It’s a brand, just like Louisiana.

Amazing how people can’t grasp this simple concept.

Using that comparison, it would always be ULL.

Whats the deal with tech right now? Is it lack of recruiting or something?

ULM needs its local community and university leaders to buy in as well.

This. Monroe and West Monroe's mayor office and ULM's admin are doing a good job coordinating events around town to get the public more involved. I was at the game and it was a nice crowd for a ULM game. If we can win this Saturday against Arkansas State it will be interesting to see the crowd size for the follow weeks home game. As someone said before winning cures everything.

No it wouldn't. We shortened our brand just like they have.

They use ALL their letters. They aren't LS or SU...they are LSU. They especially aren't Louisiana. When y'all defend this it comes off sounding exactly like THE Ohio State University fans do.

The only thing I wish the school would do more of is make recruiting Monroe kids a priority. There is a ton of talent in the NE LA area and not all of them will end up at LSU or Bama. I know that the HC job is almost a win at all costs right now ordeal and you need instant coffee players and those are either Juco's or transfers but damn it would be cool to see ULM play mostly players from Ouachita, Neville, WM, Bastrop, etc.... Sorry, rant over.

Every time ULM football is talked about on here… we both go into this long worded rant about the same thing… LOL

ULL will never be the university of Louisiana and ULM now has one of the dopest logos in sports ( although ESPN needs to buy into ULM like they do with unlv on tickers)

They need to replace their field with a field that has the logo.

Well it is true and I'm not sure Coach Bowden is going to deviate from his predecessors either. I seriously don't think I have ever seen him at a Neville game. He might send staff but you would think he would visit the local schools but oh well. Maybe he does attend other school's games. Anyway, I like him. I think ULM knocked it out of the park with his hire. Like I said, I see him in church when I am in town. He seems like he enjoys Monroe and since he is kinda in the twilight of his career I am wondering if this is where he hangs the cleats up. He is not the young up and comer that uses a ULM to launch a career.

He sent someone to Carroll practice my friend told me so thats a start… but NLU should have hired a local guy in the 90’s to fill the team with Monroe and NE LA players… Monroe people will show up to see local players…

They have 29 north LA guys and another 10/20 LA guys not too bad tbh. Especially with the proximity to east Texas.

You nitwits on this site can call us ULLLLL all you want, but the fact remains that we are Louisiana nationally and that battle has long been won.

Dude C’mon…they fired Holtz after last season Hired Texas Texas OC Sonny Cumbie. So new HC, new QB1, new system.
Tech started off with Mizzou, SFA, then Clemson. I’m sure South Al is a good team, but Tech made them look like Georgia. VERY poorly coached game…it’ll take awhile to right this ship.

The fact remains that nationally no one cares about any of the schools in Louisiana other than LSU.
