man it's 3 weeks until another UFC card. Seems weird now to wait that long between fights.

Bisping hung in there with him.

The UFC on Fox 19 is pretty stacked. It is a week after the Dos Santos vs Rothwell card.

Well to be fair, Bisping had been practicing traditional jiu-jitsu since he was a kid and Sonnen isn't known for his submissions.

I've been hyped about that Tampa card. It's probably worth taking a trip to see it. Tickets are inexpensive too.

Had to stack it, Khabib's probability of hurting himself is 90%

Cyborg vs. can Leslie Smith in Curitiba, BRZ on UFC 198 released by DW earlier today.

It's a catch weight at 140.

The hunt to end Ronda's career is on.

if anyone on here is going to that event, give me a shout. I'll be fishing in Tampa that weekend and most likely going to the fights as well.

Boogeyman out of Main Event on the Tampa card.

"Motherfricker!"

Like I said the Tampa card was stacked because they had to due to the likelihood of injury. Getting pretty sick of this shite of awesome fights falling through and weakening the cards.

At least it's free on Fox, but damn it's frustrating for fans for cards to constantly get downgraded. Legit reason or not.

The kicker is I almost posted a video of Ferguson training earlier today and thought twice about it and said no.

Cowboy probably is going to step in to fight Khabib at 170 so no huge drop-off. Hopefully he can avoid the blanket.

Yep. Cowboy vs. Khabib will headline Tampa card

I'd really love to see Ferguson vs. Cowboy though....now that would be a scrap.

Nice! frick Ronda.

Nunes deserves a shot. Holly/Ronda get their rematch in Septemberish for a nice payday and the end of the year card gets Holly/Ronda winner vs. Miesha/Nunes winner for the belt as I had described previously.

Winner in Dec/Jan gets Cyborg in a catch weight OR Cyborg vs. Gabi Garcia @ 175

While she was open to facing any opponent the promotion proposed for her, the UFC brass had another name in mind: Amanda Nunes (11-4 MMA, 4-1 UFC). “They thought that Amanda was the next best girl in line,” Tate today told MMAjunkie. “They were like, ‘Look, you just beat Holly. You finished her.’ They didn’t feel that it was necessary to have an immediate rematch; it didn’t warrant an immediate rematch. It wasn’t one of those performances or such a crazy fight that we’ve got to have an immediate rematch.

This seems like some bullshite from UFC. McGregor looked much worse in getting rocked and tapped midway through the 2nd than Holm did getting choked out late in the 5th.

Brendan Schaub just eviscerates the UFC's decisions and he's got the better ideas and marketing game plan honestly.

I like Nunes getting the shot, but I don't like the UFC bullshitting about why they're doing it.

There was a lot of negative response about Ronda dodging Holm but wanting to get right back to it when Tate won the belt. Lots of fans and fighters didn't think Ronda deserved the shot at Tate. The Holm/Tate fight was the closest of any Rousey/Tate fight or the Rousey/Holm fight.

Tate/Holm was an all-time classic that was one of the more dramatic fights the UFC has ever had. It was an emotional ride that Hollywood only hopes to write as well.

and here's Holm's managers comments on Nunes getting the shot.

quote:

The booking, first announced Wednesday evening on “UFC Tonight,” was not met warmly by Holm’s management, who pushed for an immediate rematch on the grounds that Tate was given the title opportunity by the now ex-champ and Tate should grant the same in kind.

Holm’s longtime manager, Lenny Fresquez, today told The Albuquerque Journal that the decision not to stage an immediate rematch was made by Tate, and not the UFC. “Holly was offered to her and she chose Nunes,” Fresquez said. “She chose to take a weaker opponent.” “She’s not as stand-up as Holly,” the manager added. “She said she’d take on the best, but she’s not willing to take on the best. Holly gave her a chance. We’re pretty disappointed she didn’t return the favor.”

I disagree with holms manager. holm did beat rousey, but she really hasnt looked that good against anyone else. outside of the rousey fight she had 2 shitty decision fights and a loss where she looked lost on the ground and did 0 damage to tate standing up. If I were tate I would rather fight holm than nunes.

also it looks like nurmaghedov is fighting some casino fighting can instead of cowboy... wtf?
