Chimaev is a huuuuge favorite, I saw him -2000 on one book, doesn’t seem like much of a headline fight

Diaz v Chimaev is just such a weird fight.

I think they're trying to see just how weak (i.e. cheap) they can make a PPV and still get a lot of people to buy it (i.e. make a lot of money). It's a pathetic card but people will buy it regardless unfortunately

I don’t really follow the sport but my buddy who is an actual fighter says that Diaz doesn’t really have a prayer. He says Chimaev might become one of the greats

if chimaev is as good as we think it is then he should beat nate. the issue is can nate get him into "championship" rounds? chimaev was slowing down in the 3rd round against burns. its a different mindset for a 3 or 5 round fight. we know nate got the cardio and has a granite chin. nates last fight against leon edwards who is now the champ went 5 rounds and nate prob would have finished him if he didnt clown around when he knocked him silly in the 5th round. leon is different from chimaev. chimaev is gonna get after it while leon was fine with fighting at range and winning on points and not fighting a grueling fight. even in the diaz masvidal fight I felt like the tide was starting to run toward nate in late rounds but it was stopped because of cuts which is a huge issue for nate in this fight again.

I def think chimaev should win but the one question mark we have on chimaev is can he fight a 5 round war and that just so happens to be nates strength.

The 4th and 5th round of any Nate fight is always must watch.

I think he's now just trying to try to fight 4-5 times a year to get out of his contract and then go try to box Jake Paul or somebody.

both nate and tony have had some epic moments as mma fighters. tony more so than nate. anyone that just started watching mma the last few years go pull up a tony ferguson highlight reel. that dude was an absolute monster.

this is what dudes were looking like after a tony ferguson fight when he was on his run

not to mention the dude came back from a destroyed knee in 6 months and made a former champion corner throw in the towel because he was getting beat so bad.

prime tony was one of my favorite fighters of all time.

Maybe it's the fan in me, but I'm not ready to rule out Diaz in this fight. As others have mentioned, if it goes into the later rounds, it favors him. I think he's also provoking Chimaev to just stand up and trade without making it a grappling match. Nate's scar tissue just has to hold up.

An interview w/ ESPN just dropped a few hours ago. He definitely feels slighted by the UFC. There are times that it seems like he doesn't care anymore, but then ends the interview with a bang. He makes it clear that he didn't ask for this fight, but in true Diaz fashion, he doesn't care. It's a must watch. I'm pulling for Diaz ultimately.

You can tell nate was a little emotional mid ways thru. I hope nate shocks the world. Same for tony. 2 straight legends in the fight game.

This is one of those fights that will likely play out a certain way, but leaves a crack in the door for an all time sports moment to come through.

No one posted about how the presser was cancelled today?

Apparently there was a fight in the back. First UFC presser ever cancelled

I’m thinking legit chaos, if you watch Dana talk about it he’s clearly pissed. 2 Diaz bros vs Chimaev would be fun to see

Apparently Darren Till and Kevin Holland were also involved, as well as the Diaz trash clan and the nutjob Khamzat.

All hell broke loose, according to Dana.
