a couple of decent fight but not a great card by any means... but that doesnt mean there wont be some good action.
Alot of people seem to be picking burns but I just dont think he can handle usman. Ill be very surprised if he can take usman down and usman's striking is a little underrated. I think burns may be a little overrated when looking at his fights. He beat woodley which all of the top guys have now. Same for maia. He got KO'd by dan hooker. He hasnt really been tested at 170 by a top guy so I feel like this is a huge step up for him usman is a beast. Then usman is now with trevor whitman which should help his striking even more.

Problem is in regards to Usman is no one else deserves a shot yet besides Burns, so he gets tossed to the wolves. Covington and Masvidal had their shots already, Edwards hasn't fought since July of 2019 (although he has a big fight against Chimaev on March 13)

Jorge didn't have a full camp though. Usman has already said he wants to run it back with Masvidal on a full camp

I do remember that, and I'd bet Masvidal gets the next shot then. Edwards would probably need one more win after Chimaev to get into the conversation

Usman isn't going to be able to just push burns up against the fence the whole time like he did against Masvidal and Burns has the power to knock him out unlike covington who touched up Usman the whole fight.

Masvidal also lost 20 lbs THAT WEEK and had to fly to f-ing ABU Dhabi and do all that qiarantine/testing protocols while cutting weight... On no camp.
The dude was absutely depleted 2 minutes into the fight.
Not saying he'd win in a rematch at all, but give the guy a full camp and 12 weeks to cut weight and get in shape and that's a different fight.
Go rewatch that fight, Masvidal Knew he had nothing after round 1. He spent all his energy in the first couple of minutes and then just tried to hang on for dear life and not get KOd the rest of the fight.

usman would beat masvidal 99 out of 100 times.

This card wont sell well, Usman isn't a good draw. I'd like to see how Barber comes back from the injury but the rest of the card just doesn't seem worth it.
I want to see this rematch but I want Usman to lose more.

to be fair that mask looks like it weight 1/2lb. usman looked good, not depleted looking at all. Dude is ripped up that is for sure. hard to believe he can make 170 at his height and size.
