So, I know I mentioned this in another thread a few weeks ago, but I feel this needs revisiting.

UConn, through 5 games, has allowed 663 yards per game.

The NCAA Record in a single season is 2015 Kansas' 560 YPG.

Here are the yardage totals for their opponents this season

UCF: 652
Boise St: 818
Rhode Island: 550
Syracuse: 636
Cincinnati: 659

They haven't held a team under 49 points this season. They are allowing 53.4 PPG.

The NCAA record for PPG allowed is 50.3 held by Louisiana (1997).

Through the first 8 minutes of the 3rd Qtr tonight against Memphis, it is going about as expected: 534 yards, 48 points

I'm just perplexed at how an FBS defense could be so awful. I couldn't imagine the frustration watching that as a fan...

Now our 56-17 win seems disappointing...

I think they're almost all underclassmen. Edsall is doing a complete rebuild from the Diaco era.

I don't care what they say the 2012 and 2016 New Orelans Saints were the worst defenses I've ever seen.

Tulane, I assume.

But that's mostly from opponents putting up a lot of offense in garbage time.

This is year two of the second Edsall era; shouldn't they at least have stopped going backwards by now?

Not sure how OU did today other than giving up 48 points and losing the game, but right before Texas scored their first TD of the game it was shown on the screen that OU was tied for dead last in the country at giving up points 100% of the time in the red zone.
