Should be 5-1 after Connecticut.

They still have 4 huge games against Memphis, Temple, UCF and SMU.

How do they do in those four games?

Add Navy in there too. And 4/5 are on the road with UCF being the only home game. Its gonna be really tough. 3-2 would be pretty impressive

AAC ain’t easy, man.

Few soft spots in the schedule unlike in the ACC.

Adding Navy, 3-2 is realistic, 4-1 would be great.

SMU is obviously pretty damn good, that game may be for the division.

Memphis is a dangerous team and will be out for blood after the fricking they got last year on a Friday night in Yulman Stadium.

I think Tulane beats Temple and UCF and loses to Memphis and SMU.

If they split those 4 games and beat Navy and Tulsa that’s a 9-3 season, not bad at all.

The way they play now under Norvell makes the matchup much better for Tulane.

This could be the best Tulane paper on paper since Bowden and if they have bad luck, they could be 7-5.

I’ve watched them all and this is easily the best team since 98. If he goes 9-3 against this schedule with a very competitive loss at Auburn, there isn’t a knowledgeable Tulane fan that won’t be ecstatic. As tough as the schedule is, nobody is unbeatable and the 1 AAC team I don’t wanna face is Cincy and we miss them. The opportunity is there to run the table.

Penalties will hurt Tulane in at least one game. I am a little shocked at the penalties they get every week. Kind of shocking that they have the record that they do.

Tulane finishes 7-5 or 8-4 and goes to the NOLA bowl. Anything better would be amazing. In short, I honestly think that they are way ahead of schedule.

It's year 4 of Fritz; pretty much the year where you should have a good team.

I see Tulsa wants to join the AAC party. They played a tough early schedule. Every West team is bowl quality. The 3 bad teams in the conference are all in the East.

How? AAC doesn't have a tie-in unless I am mistaken.

Memphis gave up 33 points to ULM today.

While I don't disagree with your premise, context is important imho. This is Tulane we are talking about. I would have put the odds at 50/50 for Fritz being gone by now. The fact that he is still thete, and succeeding, puts him way ahead of most realistic timeframes imho.

Tulane should have beaten Auburn but the refs took that game away from them.

It's not an easy job, but every good coach we've had has built us up and taken us to a bowl. None of the failed coaches has done a thing anywhere else (unless you count Buddy Teevens' return to Dartmouth). We just do a lot of stuff like hire the brother of a donor (Scelfo) instead of a a real football coach. It's also critical for Tulane to have a disciplinarian coach..."players coaches" are 100% fail.
CJ was a decent recruiter and left Fritz with some players on defense - 3 or 4 are currently in the pros. He just had the worst coordinators in college football.
