Tua really needs to have a strong season.

I don’t even think he’ll be asked to do that much. The coach will definitely focus on the run game, but with Hill and Waddle, Tua will need to make the plays when necessary.
The Dolphins may not be a headache to watch for once.

Tua bout to be gone after this year when the Fins realize they got all these big additions but the QB is still a dumbass.

I don't think they did enough for the oline. It was far worse than needing 1 LT. They have to SERIOUSLY improve just become slightly competent, much less decent. Teams were able to get consistent pressure rushing just 3. And many times it was essentially instantaneous.
edit: if you look at how quickly he was having to make decisions, I think he was somewhat decent last year. He rarely threw deep because he never had time for WRs to get farther than 12 yards downfield.

thats still asking way too much of him

that still wont help

he has proven time and time again that isnt capable of doing that which is why they brought in bridgewater to take his place
its way passed time for the Tua "i hurt all over" experiment to just end
he isnt good, he never has been, and no amount of time or added players will make him better

I don't have stats in front of me, and I'm not looking them up, but I'd venture to say that his first 2 seasons probably stack up decently against a lot of good NFL QBs.

Even before this free agency period that is true , but especially now. I don't see" IT " in Tua as a pro. I want to be wrong because I want the quarterback carousel to stop in Miami. You really haven't had a good look at what he can be with the sh$%#y dual offensive coordinators and 30th offensive line. With McDaniel, Frank Smith, and Darrell Bevell, they have always had good o-lines with them so the o-line should improve, Bevell has done well with Stafford,Wilson, etc so if there's no improvement in Tua... bye bye. Tua's not terrible. I expect we'll be drafting a Qb in 23. I WANT THE QB CAROUSEL TO STOP IN MIAMI !

They also signed Connor Williams who started for Dallas. They completely revamped the left side of the line.

Fins have 2 firsts next year to trade for someone or pick someone in the draft. It's absolutely make or break for Tua.

Didnt know he was still on a team.

Unless Terron Armstead stays healthy, they still have the worst O-Line in football and no-name running-backs. Tua is probably the average starting QB that we've seen thus far, but I'll remain optimistic that the moves they've made will help him make a jump

He's really accurate on the short balls, and Waddle/Hill can take those for big yardage. That may be how they move the ball down the field

Huge change in the quality of coaching with McDaniel though. Flores was a mental midget when it came to the offense and his coaching hires reflected that. The holdovers on the OL hopefully will be salvageable with good coaching. Right now the most pressing need is for a good center and the Browns guy might be a real possibility.

I mean, he is certainly better, but is more of a competent player than a good one.
Maybe McDaniel thinks his system will fit the players better.
