True or false.....Dirk one title in 2011 is better than Kevin Durant two titles

...see people are actually saying two are better than one. But Dirk had the better challenge

define better. ultimately 2 will always trump 1. Dirk had a far great run and far greater challenge, obviously.

Dirk had more of an impact on that title than KD had on the other 2 if that’s what you’re asking.

2 > 1 although I’m more of a Dirk fan.

False, LeBron doesn’t choke they don’t win 2011 though I give Dirk A TON OF CREDIT for playing and helping the Mavs win game 4 with the ailments he was suffering, big-time stuff

The Warriors could have won without KD. The Mavs wouldn't have been close without Dirk.
I think that's all you can say. LeBron had a relatively poor series in 2011, but monster series in the two vs KD. There were so many other variables, it's hard to say one achievement is better. They're both good, just in different ways.

Make it a little less obvious.

Dirk because he is white and that is quite the accomplishment for a honkey

Back to back championships can only be underrated in a place like this and 1 > 2 arguments only have weight in a place like this. Historically and for the people who further NBA history Durant’s 2 titles will be ranked over Dirks title and that is the correct way of viewing the comparison. That’s no slight against Dirk but people don’t look at these things in proper context. For example here you’ll see most posters saying that Golden State had a huge talent advantage over Cleveland when that isn’t true. The talent advantage Miami had over Dallas was largely exaggerated as well with Miami having basically specialty players outside of their big 3 while Dallas had a heavy advantage of ex All-Stars and interchangeable productive veterans.

Tough, but I'd give Dirk the slight nod.. that 2011 postseason run he had was legendary

I’m a homer so Dirk.
Not only did he take down LeBron and the gang, but his road to the Finals was also very impressive. B-Roy and Aldridge in Portland, swept Mamba and LAL and then took down the Thunder with three future MVP’s on the roster.

I’m sure Dirk would rather have an extra title. His is the most impressive of the three though. Durant is a better overall player

So many great moments that postseason.. I remember I was golfing during Game 4 of the Laker series.. I was convinced the ESPN site was broken because my phone was only updating Dallas' points that first half. Dallas stretched a 4 point lead after the first qtr to almost 30 at half.
Also, can't forget Dwade and Lebron mocking Dirk being sick, then Dirk coming back and dropping 30 pts the next game.

main thing I remember from that postseason is one of the Dallas scrubs (can't recognize the name from the roster) wearing a shirt to the parade or celebration or whatever that said
"Hey Lebron how does my Dirk taste?"

100% true.
Dirk was the only all star on the Mavs with 6th man undersized guard Jason Terry being the only other somewhat consistent scorer at his side and he took down the Heatles.
Durant quit a conference a finals (4th in 6 years) team with Westbrook and Ibaka by his side to join a squad that had been to two straight NBA finals winning one, w/73 regular season wins the year they lost in 7 to LeBron, the reigning MVP reigning coach of the year, and 3 all star starters with Curry/Klay/Dray. Oh and by the way OKC was up on that same Warriors squad 3-1 before falling.
The Mavs win over LeBron/Wade/Bosh was far more impressive than a fricking NBA 2k team w/4 all stars in the starting lineup winning. Those Mavs may not have have even made the playoffs without Dirk. Everything they were good at was completely based on the amount of attention and energy he drew from opposing defenses.
Also, I'm sorry but even Durant at his peak wouldn’t have taken that Mavs team to the promised land the way an aging Dirk was able to do. Durant is a front running cry baby quitter and never would have had the stones to overcome the blown 2-0 lead vs Portland in the first round let alone the 2-1 hole to the Heat.

Then I’m giving the Mavs their first meeting in 2006 for the shitty officiating if we’re just making up excuses.
