I'd say Machado and Trout are still the favorites, but Altuve is definitely up there.

I'm pretty happy he's on my fantsy team

ETA: My bookie's favorites are Machado and Trout at +300. Altuve is +900 for whatever that's worth.

I haven't watched enough baseball to know if he is the league MVP but he is certainly a spark plug for the Astros.
His energy on the field is infectious to their team.

Him and Trout have to be #1 & #2 right now

I'd say

Trout
Altuve
Cano
Machado

And probably Springer with how well he's fielding RF

Trout. The NL is looking like it's going to be up in the air

I'd say Arenado is out front in the NL

I'd bet Kershaw in NL.

But yeah, Arenado is definitely in the mix.

I'll go Trout. But Machado and Altuve are not far behind right now.

Would he be shortest MVP ever?

Bogaerts has been the 4th most valuable player on his own team

Big papi
Betts
Jackie Bradley

I'd take the first 2 over altuve

He is actually 4th in the whole AL in WAR and the top Red Sox.

If you want to argue Ortiz or Betts over him, I think you could, but it's definitely not a slam dunk. Bradley Jr. has been great, but he hasn't played as much as the others. Bogaerts has 50 more plate appearances than him.

Are we talking about who is actually most valuable or the winner of the award? Trout won't win MVP if the Angels finish as a sub 500 team as they're on pace to be right now

Feliz Hernandez won the Cy Young on a horrendous Mariner team with like a 6-13 record. It's possible.
