Top 5 players for NCAA football

Who do you think are the top 5 players this upcoming season? Narrowing it down to 5 should make for great discussion and debate.
In no particular order...
- Joey Bosa - such a dominating, destructive defensive player. He can play the run very well and gets to the quarterback with ease.
- Christian Hackenberg - this should be a no brainer for all. He's a big, 6'4 quarterback with plenty of playing experience and a strong, accurate arm. Penn State's got a great one.
- Cardale Jones - I know he doesn't have significant playing time, but you can't deny what he did against the competition he face. He reminds me of a faster Roethlisberger.
- Leonard Floyd - tall, lean, agile versatile defender for the Georgia Bulldogs. He can play linebacker or defensive end. I don't know how he'd fare against power running teams, but he's excellent at getting to the quarterback and making deflections.
- Vernon Hargreaves - Best corner in college football. He's a true shutdown guy. You can leave him out on the island and he gets the job done.

He's got measurable, but he's terrible. You're gonna tell me one of the 5 best players in NCAAF had a TD:INT ratio of 12:15 last season?
ETA: Anthony Jennings had a better QBR than Hackenberg last season.

Not sure how you can have Cardale over Dak at this point.

For a college QB, I'd rather Connor Cook or any of the tOSU QBs. If we are talking strictly pro potential then I'd take Hackenberg.
My top 5:
Joey Bosa
Laremy Tunsil
Ezekiel Elliot
Connor Cook
VH3

Put in Jalen Ramsey, JT Barrett, and Scooby Wright... Toss out Hackenberg, Floyd, and Jones

Is no one going to mention the current Heisman favorite?

I'd like to see how many attempts each had

It's amazing to me how no one ever mentions Samaje Perine. He's a forgotten man.
It's like no one remembers how dominant he was when he got the starting nod and that he holds the FREAKING RECORD FOR RUSHING YARDS IN A SINGLE GAME.

quote:He definitely is. But I don't think Hackenberg is a terrible QB. Should be interesting how year two goes in Franklin's system.
Connor Cook at Michigan State is the better QB in the Big 10.
