Ridiculous they're giving him this for something so insignificant but they gave the Pats the same for something far, FAR worse.

Has he owned up to it yet?

No. Which is why I would have no problem with that penalty if true

Yeah he did. He apologized for being on the field after the game.

Owning up would have been giving the actual reason he was doing what he was doing.

He gave an explanation for why he was on the field, and it was a very farfetched explanation.

That was in no way owning up to what he did.

Nah, but I'm a Steelers fan and love Tomlin, so I guess you can call me biased.

I'm a steelers fan and he did it on purpose. He was laughing about it after the play. He knew what was up. Fine was expected, but a draft pick. Seriously GFTO Goodell

if the game officials really believed he affected the play, they could have gave baltimore the touchdown then and there

The loss of draft pick request came from Belicheat and Kraft. Kraft ownz Roger.

Spygate was a lot worse than people heard, but Roger, with his good buddy in tow, destroyed the tapes, and many Orgs were unhappy, they wanted to see everything that was on those tapes.

I mean, I think he stands that close to the field for that specific reason, but I really think he didn't realize he was actually on the field when it happened this time.

TBH, I doubt the ref had the guts to award a touchdown even if Tomlin had contacted Jones during the return.

I remember that the Jets were fined 100,000 for one of their coaches forming "player walls" during special teams play and that was some strength and conditioning coach. Tomlin is a head coach and they are understandably held to a higher standard.

I can totally understand a $50,000-$100,000 fine for Tomlin and the loss of a 7th round pick. It sets a clear example that no one can be out of the designated area and possibly interfere with the play on the field.

I don't believe him at all. There is no reason to stand all the way out there to watch the screen. He was literally as close as you could get to being on the field without actually being on the field. It was a calculated move.

There is no way it was just "whoops how did I get out here? I lost where I was."

BS.

Also correct. You're providing facts everyone knows, but I have no clue why you're doing so.

I think the NFL leaked that they were thinking about taking away a draft pick knowing full well that they aren't going to do that.

Just to send the message to coaches and anybody else that they could do it if they wanted to.

To me, Tomlingate ranks behind spygate and ahead of bountygate.

He tried to cheat. He isnt a player. He cant affect the game like that.
