Graham's decision comes a week after a state senate hearing in which former players provided testimony alleging verbal abuse and other problems within the culture of the football program. Times change. Later in his career Bear Bryant eased up on the physical practices and even allowed players to drink water during practice and watched practice from the tower and left it to the assistants mostly for hands-on instruction and practice. He also eased up on grabbing players by the face mask.

Other than Norm Chow, how many times has Hawaii had a head coach from Hawaii?
ETA: And even having been born and raised there, Norm Chow ain’t exactly “Hawaiian,” if you catch my drift.

If a coach needs to call someone names to coach them then he isn’t a very good coach.
